Backyard BBQ, summer time fun grilling in the backyard

The men do this the day before a backyard BBQ.

Barbequed Ribs

Prepare the marinade:

1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp ginger, ground
1-2 tsp Tabasco sauce
2 T horseradish
2 T mustard
1 cup catsup
1/2 cider vinegar
1 cup orange juice (OK to use grapefruit juice, also)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worchestershire sauce

Mix well.

Soak 5 lbs of ribs in 2 cups of sauce. Refrigerate the rest of thesauce.

When ready to grill, drain the ribs and discard the juice.Grill ribs about 20-25 minutes per side.

While the ribs are grilling, combine refrigerated marinade,1/4 cup honey and 2 T brown sugar.

Boil, cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes.

Using the thickened sauce to baste the ribs, grill them for about 20 minutes longer, turning them occasionally.

We love "cooking out" because the men do most of the cooking!

BBQ's are family fun!
