Chocolate recipes for rum balls, bourbon balls, and coconut balls. Oh, and let's not forget our indecently delicious fudge!
Dark Decadent Fudge
3 C semisweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
salt, just a dash
1 C walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1. Melt chips with condensed milk and salt over low heat.
2. Remove from heat. Stir in walnuts and vanilla.
3. Line a 9 inch square pan with aluminum foil. Spread mixture evenly in pan.
4. Chill at least 2 hours. Turn pan upside down on cutting board and peel off foil. Cut into squares.
Rum Balls
1 3/4 C vanilla wafer cookie crumbs
1 C pecans, ground
1 C confectioners sugar
1/4 C cocoa
3 TBLSP light corn syrup
1/4 cup light rum
Mix all ingredients. Roll into 1 inch balls.
Roll balls in 1/3 C confectioners sugar to coat.
makes about 30 balls
Coconut Fudge Balls
2/3 C evaporated milk
12 oz semisweet choc. bits
2 1/2 C powdered sugar
1 C nuts, chopped
7 oz. coconut, or more
Mix chocolate bits and milk. Microwave until melted.(about 3 minutes)
Stir in sugar and nuts. Chill 1/2 hour. Roll into balls.
Roll balls in the coconut. Coconut may be colored with a few drops of food coloring if you wish.
Swedish Balls
1/2 lb butter
1 1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
1/2 C strong cold coffee
2 tsp vanilla
1 C cocoa
4 C Quick-cooking oatmeal, uncooked
Cream butter and sugar. Blend in eggs. Add coffee, vanilla and cocoa.
Mix. Add oats and mix well. Chill 1 to 2 hours.
Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar.
Store in airtight container and keep refrigerated. Makes 5 dozen.
